VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a gray afternoon today but we still had a great meet with 78 bikes. Vanessa from Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys was with us today to promote their BAM program and to present out Bike of the Month trophy sponsored by Russ Brown. I want to thank them for their generosity and supporting our meet.

Bike of the Month
Congratulations to first timer Mike Fritz of Garden Grove for winning Bike of the Month with his 1979 Yamaha XS650 Special. Mike won a trophy provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.

Mike has owned the bike since 1981 and recently completed its re-birth as a street tracker.

Second Place Tie
Another first timer, Leo Spens of Laguana Beach tied for Second with his 1971 BMW R60. Leo has owned the BMW for 10 years. It was stored from 1982 until he bought it and restored it to his liking. Not built to factory spec, this bike has Leo's choice of parts from many different models.

Mark Compton of Los Alamitos tied for Second place with his rare 1976 Laverda SF3. Mark has been to our meet many times with several different bikes, but this was the first time with the Laverda which he has only had in his possession for ten days. He bought it in August from a dealer in England.
