Geoff Soule and his 1971 Norton Fastback Make: Norton Model: Commando Fastback Country of Origin: England Engine: 750cc Twin Transmission: 4 speed, right shift Year: 1971 Owner: Geoff Soule, Huntington Beach, CA		1971 Norton Commando 750 Fastback Geoff Soule of Huntington Beach won Bike of the Month this month with his 1971 Norton Commando 750 Fastback. Geoff has only owned this bike for about six months and he bought it from another member. It has new paint and he went through the entire bike, replacing the bearings in the headset and swingarm. This Fastback has a full Factory Racer front end including the brakes, fork and controls which include a 1/4 turn throttle. It has a Dunstall rearset and a new set of YSS shocks. Geoff has brought this bike to the meet before, and it's always been one of my favorites. With over 80 bikes at the meet today, there were really only about 12 in the running for Bike of the Month. The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again. Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
