VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a perfect November afternoon today and we had great meet. 34 bikes were in the lot at 2:00 and by the end we had a total of 65. Many new people and new bikes to see.

Bike of the Month - Nick Ounanian

Nick Ounanian of Fontana with his 1978 Yamaha XS-11

Congratulations to Nick Ounanian of Fontana for winning Bike of the Month with his 1978 Yamaha XS-11.

Nick won the Bike of the Month plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. www.RussBrown.com.

This was Nick's first time to our meet, and he brought three bikes with him. They rode two, and the third was trailered. All three we superb, and he took First and Second place

Second Place - Nick Ounanian

Nick Ounanian of Fontana also took Second place with his 1970 Indian MM5A Mini Mini.

Even though this is one of the smallest bikes we've ever had at our meet, it took Nick 3 1/2 years to complete the restoration. He had to fabricate many parts due to availablity. He started it and it ran, but for obvious reasons, he didn't ride this one to the meet.

The Mini Mini was imported from Italy and built by Italjet.

Third Place - Russ Truex

Russ Truex of Huntington Beach won Third place with his 1975 Yamaha RD125B.

Russ has been to our meet several times with his RD, he placed back in February 2022, like then, today he had some stiff competition.

Russ has owned this 100% original RD125B for 17 years, and has the original tires at home in storage.
