Bill Brewer and his 1975 Yamaha RD200
Country of Origin: Japan
Engine: 200cc Twin Two-Stroke
Transmission: 5 speed
Owner: Bill Brewer
City: Huntington Beach
Congratulations to Bill Brewer of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1975 Yamaha RD200.
Bill won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
Bill bought the bike off e-bay back in 2014 and completed his full restoration this year. He brought it to our meet back in May and tied for Second place.
The restoration included many NOS parts such as the gauges and rear tail light lens still sporting the OEM inventory tag.
Bill had many parts of the bike chrome plated that weren't that way from the factory such as the wheel hubs. It sure gives it a bit of bling.
The bike is fitted with Higgspeed expansion chambers. www.higgspeed.com
The tank and side covers were another e-bay find that had a couple of flaws that he fixed.
Thank you Bill for bringing your Yamaha out for all of us to see. See all the photos in our September Gallery.
