Huntington Beach, Calif. - Winter Storm Warning! - Don't tell that to our friends on the East Coast, ok it was chilly today I had to wear a long sleeve shirt. I think the threat of inclement weather kept some people back, or maybe it was Christmas shopping, but we had a good turnout with 23 bikes. Not bad for December.

Bob Neff of Buena Park won Bike of the Month easily with his Crystal Blue 1967 Harley Davidson Sportster 900. It was pretty much a landslide, everyone liked the Sporty.

Frank Colver brought back his 1947 Matchless, the January 2009 Bike of the Month winner. This time it wasn't a trailer queen. Frank's incredible engineering and fabrication skills have brought this postwar warrior into the 21st Century with a new hydraulic front disk brake. Frank is now able to ride this bike with confidence on So Cal roads. The neat thing about this modification, is that it's 100% removable. Frank restore this bike back to it's original configuration at any time.

The pictures on the left are before and after. The top picture was taken in January and the bottom one was shot today. The hub and brake are off a Yamaha TW200.
