Huntington Beach, Calif. - Today the sky looked exactly like the background of this web page. I was thinking earlier that maybe we should have a contingency plan. (maybe I should have been paying attention to the sermon in Church) But with Orange County getting only minimal rain in the past year, the thought of bad weather never even crossed my mind. Well I think the threat of rain kept many people home, or it could have been the three day weekend for some. I know several people were nervous about having their vintage machines out in the rain. Thankfully we didn't get a drop of rain.
I showed up at 2:00 and there were already three bikes there. A nice change from last month. Ernesto Quiroga was already there with his fine 1972 Ducati Desmo 450 along with his friend on a very cool custom Triumph. In hindsight I wish I would have gotten some pics of that bike too, but it wasn't vintage... By 3:00 we had about 16 bikes, most weren't vintage again I think it was due to the weather. We wrapped it up a little early to avoid the possible precipitation by 3:45 the lot was empty.
Thanks to all who came out on vintage bikes, new bikes and even in cages. It was a good time. Looking forward to December 9th!
