October Vintage Bike OC Meet
1955 BSA A7 in Huntington Beach, CA Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was another beautiful day in Huntington Beach today with 22 bikes showing up, not all vintage, but none the less cool. It started out a little slow, at 2:15pm there were only three or four of us there. I was beginning to wonder if we'd been trumped by the Moto GP races on TV, but it wasn't too long before the parking lot started to fill up.

The third guy to show up was Bruce Balla on his 1955 BSA A7. I think Bruce has been attending the Vintage Bike Night's since they started. His BSA ran away with Bike of the Month, although there were several contenders. Ed Mitzner was back with his '29 Henderson, but he wasn't in the running for BotM. Jason Roberts rode in on his "hot pink" (I think that's the factory designation) 1972 Suzuki GT750 J Water Buffalo, which was very clean, but I think the group may be partial to the Brit bikes.

Again we had a lot of new faces, but many of the "regulars" must have been home watching Moto GP. The weather was so perfect, that I turned my eight mile ride home into a sixty mile loop through Santiago Canyon. A much better ending than in August when I barely made it home. Thanks to all for coming out and supporting the group, and thank you for reading this. I'm having fun, I hope you are too.

Keep On Ridin',
