VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Another beautiful afternoon in Huntington Beach today, the warm weather brought 105 bikes out to the beach. From Whizzers to a century old Indian, we had something for everyone.

Bike of the Month Contest
The Bike of the Month contest was a fairly tight contest this month. However Fritz Harmon and his son took first place with their 1913 Indian Single Speed. They trucked the Indian in from Riverside in the bed of their 1940 Ford pickup.This bike was purchased new by Fritz's Grandfather in 1913 and has been in their family it's entire life. Fritz was awarded a $20.00 gift certificate to Beach Burgers, provided by Beach Burgers and The Scooter Solution.

Will Delamater of Whittier came in a close second place with his custom 1972 Triumph 650. Today was Will's first time to our meet, I'm sure next time he'll have a good opportunity to win.

Third and Fourth were only one vote apart. Dale Samforth of Midway City edged out Michael Cooper's red cafe BSA B54 Cafe with his 1952 Whizzer. These two bikes are worlds apart, but equally unique. Michael is always a contender when he brings his BSA.
