VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - It started a little slow with 16 bikes and one 1958 Morgan in the lot at 2:00, but it ended well with 50 bikes in the lot and a fantastic competition for Bike of the Month.

We had a good competition for Bike of the Month today. I thought the 1946 Triumph 3T was a clear winner the moment Jeff rolled in, but I'm often wrong and today three others gave him some competition.

Three of our winners today are multiple time winners. For Mike Cooper of Westminster, it may have been his first time. He was up against some stiff competition.

Bike of the Month - Jeff McCoy

This is the second 1940's Triumph in a row that has won Bike of the Month. Last month we had Bob Primmer win with his 1948 Triumph Grand Prix.

Jeff has been coming to the meet longer than me, he always brings something special and has won Bike of the Month four times in the past.

Second Place - Doug Rickertsen

This bike is actually owned by Ron Moyer, Doug just finished the restoration on it so he brought it to the meet.

Third Place Tie - Mike Cooper

I think this was Mike's first time at the meet. It was definitely a family affair with his granddaughters by his side.

He has owned the Suzuki he calls Suzie Smoker for three years and done quite a bit of work to get it into this condition.

Third Place Tie - Bob Primmer
