Congratulations to Perry Edwards of Garden Grove for winning Bike of the Month. Perry showed up today with his krew of four Honda riders including his son Cory on his CB-550F, a 1970 CB-750 and a CB-X1000. I would say that's where all the votes came from, but his son came in at a close second.
I don't think anyone reading this site will need the details on a CB-750, however I can give you a bit of history on this one. Perry has owned this bike since 1999. He is the third owner, the first was up in LA, and the second owner was a collector. When Perry got the bike the seat had a hole in it, the paint was faded and most of the chrome was bad. New paint, many new and re-chromed parts and a lot of polishing has brought it up to it's current condition.
Perry knows his way around Hondas and he's no stranger to winning contests. He had his hand in all four bikes that they showed up with. At the last Huntington Beach Car show, his son Cory took First place with the 550, and Perry came in Second.
Thank you Perry and your krew for bringing out four very fine Hondas.
Second Place Finishers
We normally don't announce Second place, but this week three people tied for Second:
Honda CB-550F, Cory Edwards
1975 Norton 850 Commando, Chuck Horton
1978 Triumph Bonnieville 750
I don't have the year of Cory's bike or the owner's name on the Triumph (#10) if someone reading this knows the info, please send it to me. |
