VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - On Wednesday when I was sending out the announcements, I thought for sure today would be washed out with rain. As usual, we had perfect weather on the second Sunday. The meet went the same way. Fifty bikes in the lot at 2:00 and the grand total was 97 by the end. A great turnout for a January meet.

Bike of the Month
Congratulations to Adam & Josh Jenkins of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month with their 1979 Suzuki GS750 Café. They won a Mr. Pete's Grill gift certificate provided by Mr. Pete's Grill. Adam & Josh are brothers and just finished this seven year project bike together.

Second Place
Norm Cain of Huntington Beach came in Second with his 1984 Moto Morini 3 1/2. Norm won Bike of the Month back in March 2016 with his 1962 Panther M120. Norm just bought his 350cc Moto Morini.

Third Place Tie
Jake Furgatch of Newport Beach tied forThird place with his 1956 BMW R69. Jake has only owned the bike for two month. He bought it from an estate sale in Long Beach. The R69 was restored in 1999.

Bill Perrone of Huntington Beach tied for Third place with his 1965 Triumph Bonneville T120R. Bill always brings something nice to the meet. He has owned this one for ten years. It was restored by Mick Felder, another Bike of the Month winner. Bill has won Bike of the Month three times in the past. First in September 2015 with his 1955 BSA Goldstar, then in December 2015 with his 1960 Moto Guzzi Falconi, and then last July 2016 with his 1951 Gilera Saturno Sport.
