Mike DaPron and his Tiger 100 Make: Triumph Model: Tiger 100 Country of Origin: England Engine: 500cc Twin Year: 1963 Owner: Mike DaPron, Los Alamitos		1963 Triumph Tiger 100 Apparently I met Mike DaPron at Donut Derelict's a few months back and gave him a VintageBikeOC card. Well I'm glad I did, and it looks like it paid off... Congratulations to Mike DaPron of Los Alamitos for winning Bike of the Month with his very clean 1963 Triumph Tiger 100. Mike's bike was definitely a crowd favorite. The vote wasn't even close and we had a record turnout today. Mike has owned the Tiger 100 for about 10 years. The paint was done when he got it, but the bike was in parts. The previous owner said the engine ran, but it didn't. Robby Berg of Bullhead City, AZ rebuilt the engine. Mike says the bike is fairly stock except for the paint color and some added chrome. The Triumph is just one of ten bikes Mike owns, mostly British. Maybe he'll bring another winner next time. The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again. Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
