March Vintage Bike OC Meet
1939 Worlds Fair

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Mr. Pete's Grill, our home since January 2015, closed their doors this week. No word from Mr. Pete, but the word on the street is the entire property is up for sale to be turned into high density housing.

All in all we had a great meet today, KFC had a bit more business, and their restroom was open for us. I didn't hear any complaints as we stuffed the parking lot with 148 bikes.

NO APRIL MEET
I have another commitment on the second Sunday in April. Brian Tinkler, had agreed to run the April meet, but in light of Mr. Pete's closing, we've decided to cancel the April Meet.

BAM: Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists
Once again Kitty Brooks, So Cal Marketing Rep for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, spent her Sunday afternoon with us promoting their BAM program. Learn more about it at: www.RussBrown.com

Watch for Motorcycles W4M
Nicole Heimerl was promoting her project W4M passing out free Watch for Motorcycles decals for your car windows. Nicole lost her son Austin Nicely in 2014 in a motorcycle accident. Nicole was accepting donations for decal production so that she can continue to spread the word. Follow her project on FaceBook at facebook.com/watchformotorcyclesW4M

Bike of the Month
Congratulations to Marcus Davin of Newport Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1939 Indian Chief. Read all about it on our Bike of the Month page. Marcus has several very nice bikes and has won twice back in 2013 with two BMWs.
December 2013 1938 BMW R12
September 2013 1966 BMW R50/2

Second Place
Chris Lagaris of Anaheim came in Second with his 1973 Kawasaki 500 H1. Chris has owned his H1 for twenty years, and it is either 100% original or NOS parts. The perfect paint is 15 years old and he has gathered parts from around the world.

Third Place
Bill Brewer of Huntington Beach took Third place with his 1975 Kawasaki KZ250. Bill has owned his 250 for about four years. When he bought it it was a café style with a rectangular headlight. He brought it back to stock and his paint job took he three tries to get it perfect.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event and a special thanks to the team, Tom & Debbie Hopkins and Hobo John. I'll see you at the next meet on May 14, 2017.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
