VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - A Heat Advisory today in HB. You'd think we would be smart enough to stay home, but no 85 of us showed up to show off our bikes and look at others. Even though we ended a little early due to the 90� temperatures, it was another great meet.

Bike of the Month
Nick Cooke of Mission Viejo took first place with his 1971 Kawaski H1 500. Nick won a Mr. Pete's Grill T-shirt and gift certificate. Nick recently purchased this bike on eBay from Roger Smith in Michigan. Roger had done the 5 year ground up restoration. Read all about the H1 on our Bike of the Month page.

Second Place
Wes Winship of Huntington Beach took Second place with his 1966 BMW R69S with a sidecar. Wes who also splits his time in Portland Oregon and spent two years restoring the BMW.

Third Place Tie
John Stone of Huntington Beach tied for Third with his 1966 Triumph Trophy 500 custom. John built this custom Triumph and usually gathers some votes with every bike he builds.

Larry Thomas of Laguna Niguel brought two very nice 1965 Hondas. He tied for Third with his 1965 Honda CA95 Dream, but also turned a few heads with his 1965 Honda CB190 Factory racer.
