December Vintage Bike OC Meet
Test Motor logo

Huntington Beach, Calif. - A beautiful December afternoon in Huntington Beach, it may have been a little cool or people were Christmas shopping but we had a slightly lower turnout with 49 bikes. We still had a wide variety on nice bikes to vote on.

BAM: Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists
Venessa, a So Cal Marketing Representative for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys spent her Sunday afternoon with us promoting their BAM program. Learn more about it at: www.RussBrown.com

Bike of the Month - Baird Bergenthal
Baird Bergenthal of Midway City with his 1963 Testi Grand Prix
Congratulations to Baird Bergenthal of Midway City for winning Bike of the Month with his 1963 Testi Grand Prix.

Baird won the Bike of the Month plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. www.RussBrown.com.

Baird usually shows up with something unusual, mostly small Italian bikes.

This is the fourth time he has won Bike of the Month. Here's the run down:
August 2021 - 1958 Hercules K100 J-Be
May 2021 - 1963 Batavus Bilonet
December 2014 - 1957 Moto Beta

Second Place - John Flores

John Flores of La Mirada took Second place with his 1972 Norton Commando 750.

This Norton started life as an Interstate. John has owned it for three years and over a year long restoration turned it into a Commando. It has an Evan Wilcox hand formed tank and side covers.

Third Place - Alfredo Gonzalez

This bike is actually owned by Cliff Cody. John just finished the complete restoration.

Honorable Mention - Al Nowacinsky
1956 MV Agusta 175
Al Nowacinsky of Huntington Beach gets and Honorable mention for his 1956 MV Agusta 175.

Al finished the restoration about a year ago, and rides this bike often. He told me it looked nice when he bought it but was like "a pig with lipstick". Al isn't interested in the competition and left before the voting had ended. He recently completed a 310 mile Moto Gira with this bike.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event. A special thanks to John Zindler for helping out with the voting today. Debbie and Tom Hopkins were unable to attend today, I look forward to seeing them again soon.

I hope you have a healthy and happy Holiday Season!

I'll see you all next month on January 9, 2022.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
