VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - We shared the day with the 2nd Annual Bikes & Bombers show at Lyon Air Museum, but that didn't hurt our turnout. Many of us went to both events and we ended up with 116 bikes at ours. All three of our winners were at both events.

Bike of the Month
Mike Dunn from Vintage German Motorcycles in Riverside, www.VintageGermanMotorcycles.com came from Bikes & Bombers with his 1937 Zundapp KS500. One of two known to be in the US, this sidecar equipped beauty took First place. Mike won the $20.00 Beach Burger's gift certificate.

Second Place
Frank Colver of Costa Mesa came in a close second with his 1937 BSA Y13 750. One of only 1500 made, the overhead valve V-twin would have won First place on any other weekend.

Third Place
Newcomer Paul Umbriaco of Old Town Orange took Third place with his 1940 BSA M20 military bike. Unlike the first and second place bikes, Pauls had a slight patina and a lot of attitude.
