VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Perfect weather at the beach today. We had a lot of new people and bikes including four Bultacos and a replica Bugatti out on the street. At 2:00 we already had 60 bikes in the lot. I was expecting a possible record, but we had a good turnout of 95 bikes. Maybe some people are at the OC Fair.

Bike of the Month
Finally Greg McBride of Midway City stayed long enough with one of his Vincents to win first prize. Two months ago, he left early on Mother's Day and took all the votes with him for his 1947 Vincent HRD Black Shadow. Today he rode his very rare 1955 Vincent Black Prince, and stayed until the end. One of only 118 Black Princes manufactured, Greg won with a fairly high margin. Greg won the $20.00 Beach Burger's gift certificate provided by Beach Burgers and The Scooter Solution.

Greg along with Thomas Harper started this meet in 2004 at the old pizza place as Vintage Bike Night. They ran it for three years until I took the reins. The name was changed to Vintage Bike OC in 2007 because we had lost our internet domain name.

Second Place
I can't be sure, but I think Jinx was campaigning hard for a win today. Jinx & Julie of Huntington Beach took Second place with his 1975 Bultaco Factory Trials Bike. This 350cc CMoto was factory built for the Bultaco team. Another very rare bike.

Third Place
David Bobp of Dana Point took Third place with his nicely restored 1970 Moto Guzzi Ambassador 750. This was David's first time to our meet, and his Guzzi really shined.
