Huntington Beach, Calif. - Another perfect afternoon at the beach. The great weather brought out nearly a record crowd. We had 80 bikes in the lot of the meet, and 137 by the end. So many cool bikes, the competition was hot. The three top spots all went to new comers. We always welcome new people and bikes.
Bike of the Month
First timer Mike Theile came all the way from Adams Ave. in Huntington Beach to take First place with his perfect 1975 Kawasaki 500 H1. Mike was told about our meet and brought his family over for the first time today. Mike won the $20.00 Beach Burger's gift certificate provided by Beach Burgers and The Scooter Solution.
Second Place
Bill Siples and his son brought their vintage Honda in from Riverside. His beautiful 1960 Honda C100 with the Roadster Kit took Second place. In it's stock form, the C100 is a step-through bike. The Roadster kit ads the large sporty tank.
Third Place
Another first timer, Bill Greene of Capistrano Beach, rode up PCH on his 1974 Norton Commando 850.
This bike caught everyone's eye. Bill just picked it up from Colorado Norton Works, where he waited three years on their build list.
Bill has owned many bikes throughout his life, including several Nortons. This bike was he retirement gift to himself.
