Huntington Beach, Calif. -
We've found our new home! Mr. Pete's Grill Owner Eleni Konstantopaulos was happy to host
our meet on this rainy Sunday afternoon. Eleni's father Pete is very familiar with bike nights. Pete started the
Wednesday bike night at Bravo Burgers we he was the owner. The rain stopped for two hours just long enough for our meet. It was a light turnout, 9 people showed up on bikes and about 20 more showed up in cars.
Bike of the Month - Everyone's a Winner!
Randy Ressell of Westminster won first place with his 1965 Triumph Dual Sport.
Randy didn't wake up this morning with thoughts of entering his bike in any contest. He trucked it up to Palmdale for the BSA Owners Club's Dual Sport ride only to be rained out.
On his way home he thought he'd drop by to check out the meet. We convinced him to pull it off his truck and enter the contest. I wanted to at least have
a contest... The 1966 Cheney Chrome Moly frame stole the show, mud and all.
Second Place
Carl Felix of Costa Mesa came in second with his 1978 JC Penny Pinto 2 moped. This 1.5 horse power monster is powered by a 50cc motor. Actually I think Karl has
a bit more power and can keep up with So Cal traffic.
Third Place
Rich Craig of Norwalk took third with his 1971 Norton Roadster 750.
Rich was the February 2008 Bike of the Month winner with his
1947 Velocette 500cc MSS
