VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Perfect weather in HB today for another great meet. I showed up extra early today at 1:00, but I couldn't beat the early arrivals. There were already 4 bikes at Mr. Pete's Grill. 46 bikes were in the lot at 2:00 and by the time it was over we had 106. A great turn out with many new people.

I spoke to the manager of KFC and he's happy with how it's been going. As long as we keep an eye on their parking and drive through, I think we'll be fine. I know some people patronized them, thank you. I think it helps.

Bike of the Month
James Le of Irvine won first place with his 1966 Honda Super Hawk 305. James won a Mr. Pete's Grill T-shirt and hat. This was James' first time at our meet with his 305. You can read all about his bike on our Bike of the Month page.

Second Place
Marcus Davin of Newport Beach took second with his 1947 Harley Davidson WL. While his Harley always seems to be a runner-up, Marcus has won Bike of the Month twice in 2013, in September with his 1966 BMW R50/2 and in December with his 1938 BMW R12. Marcus took People's Choice with his 1938 BMW R12 at Lyon's Air Museum Bikes and Bombers show yesterday.

Third Place Tie
Michael Cooper of Balboa Island once again gathered some votes with his 1971 BSA A65 40i. Michael has placed two other times with this bike. Danny Roberson of Westminster collected just as many votes for his very clean original Yamaha RD 350.
