Huntington Beach, Calif. -
It was a cool afternoon at the beach today, but we still had a great meet. Even with the International Motorcycle Show going on in Long Beach we still had a great turn out with 77 bikes and several show stoppers.
Bike of the Month
Marcus Davin of Newport Beach took First place with his 1938 BMW R12. This is Marcus' second Bike of the Month win. He had just won back in September with his 1966 BMW R50/2. Marcus won the $20.00 Beach Burger's gift certificate provided by Beach Burgers and The Scooter Solution. Fortunately for the rest of us, these are the only two bikes Marcus owns.
Second Place
First timer Myles Elsing of Corona Del Mar brought his custom 1949 Harley Davidson FL. bobber. Myles was just out for a Sunday ride, when Marcus Davin told him about our meet. They rode in together and Myles almost took the win away from him.
Third Place
Third place went to a very rare dirt bike. Unknown to me, Bill Perrone's 1977 Harley Davidson 250 MX was a one year only issue from the motor company. Probably why I've never seen one. Bill lives in Huntington Beach.
