VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Record Heat, Record Turnout, it was probably 80° in Huntington Beach today, and everyone came to the bike meet. I'm putting the official count at 90 bikes, a new record.

Our last record was 72 bikes set in March 2010. I knew it was going to be a great meet today when there were more than 30 bikes at 2:00pm. We may have to look for a larger parking lot, but Beach Burgers is too nice of a venue to give up. June and her crew treat us great, and they appreciate our business.

Over 70 votes were cast for our Bike of the Month contest and Steve Lacy of Long Beach took the most with "Brown Sugar" his 1964 Triumph TR6 custom.

Gerald Prendergast of Cypress came in Second Place with his 1965 Honda CB450. His Black Bomber was a two year restoration.

Frank Colver of Costa Mesa took Third Place with his AJS. Unfortunately Frank left before I could get more details about his bike.

Our meet didn't go off without a hitch though, Gene Case lost his electrics on his Honda CB750. Fortunately Mike Gregor of Motorcycle Transport Company was there to transport him home.
